Biodiesel - Fuel from Vegetables
Biodiesel is simple to use, biodegradable, non-toxic and essentially free of
sulfur and aromatics. It can be used in existing diesel engines with no
noticeable loss in performance. Biodiesel is proven to reduce unhealthy
emissions associated with petroleum. This renewable fuel offers an immediate
opportunity to improve air quality and reduce our dependence on foreign oil. In
this hands-on class, learn the process of making fuel from restaurant
"waste" oil, and discover how to build your own small-scale Biodiesel
processor.
Workshop Cancellation Policy: Any cancellation (or course change) made by a
student prior to two (2) weeks from workshop date will be charged a $40 fee.
Cancellations made within two (2) weeks of workshop date are non-refundable.
Registration fees for workshops cancelled by the Solar Living Institute will be
refunded in full.
