Why this Event?

The program is unique in that it is the only event that focuses on manufacturing issues in creating alternative energy technologies and allows for a meaningful exchange between various industries (electronics, appliance, utility, automotive, aerospace, military, NASA). It also provides guidance to manufacturers on the energy management systems and techniques they can use today to reduce their energy consumption and guarantee a more reliable power source for their production needs.

The event will support AET developers and researchers in many ways….

·         Help AET companies design their products for manufacturability.

·         Allow AET developers and researchers an opportunity to interface and connect with OEM’s in several different industry markets where alternative energy systems have both short and long term applications.

·         Help reducing the cost and scalability of components and reliability of AET systems so they are more commercially viable.

The program will also provide valuable direction for manufacturers in many ways…

·         Providing ideas to OEM’s who are considering alternative energy systems as a new power source in their future product designs.

·         Allowing manufacturers detailed insight on how to support the product development of alternative energy systems

·         Provide guidance to small to large contract manufacturers on how to position themselves as a supplier to this emerging technology sector that is likely to make a significant growth impact in many industries.

·         Educate manufacturers on the advanced energy systems they can use today to save on energy and guarantee a more reliable source of power for their production needs.

·         Provide post event one-on-one energy management consultations to all manufacturers in attendance (courtesy of DTE Energy Technologies).

Who Should Exhibit or Sponsor this Event?

We are seeking energy management and energy efficiency products and services that wish to make contact with this influential manufacturing audience.  We are seeking companies that have the following solutions for manufacturing operations…

We are also seeking displays of alternative energy systems, AET component and system developers and enabling technologies for the energy market.

One of the things that make this event unique is that we demystify the technology for the manufacturing audience. We will showcase several alternative energy and fuel cell exhibits (DTE/Plug Power, Hydrogenics, GM AUTOnomy vehicle, Umicore, Delphi, Ballard, STM Power, Encel, Adaptive Materials) at our event. This element is necessary to provide a physical world connection to the classroom learning.  Manufacturers need to visually understand the components that make up alternative energy systems like fuel cells to effectively assist in the future development of these products.
