Gasoline prices have risen worldwide and drivers are rethinking their driving habits. The trend is moving towards alternative fuels.

According to a study by DEKRA, German drivers are increasingly willing to give alternative vehicles a try. The study reveals 94.9% of Germans are open to the idea of driving autos which are propelled by gas, bio-diesel, or hybrid electric.

Even in America, alternative fuel vehicles are starting to catch on. As the interest in gas-guzzling trucks and jeeps wane, interest in hybrid vehicles, which are favored because of their low fuel consumption and tax incentives, rises.

And in Monte Carlo, at the legendary motor race held every year, found for the first time this year is the “Rally Monte Carlo Fuel Cell and Hybrid Race” for alternative fuel racing vehicles. At this race, Heinz Harald Frentzen raced the gas cell prototype HydroGen3.
