Sunoco to Spend $275 Million on Refinery Emission Cuts

NEW YORK - Sunoco Inc. Thursday said it will spend about $275 million over an eight-year period to reduce emissions at four of its refineries as part of a recent settlement with the US Environmental Protection Agency.

 


The company said the environmental improvements are expected to cut emissions of sulfur dioxides and nitrogen oxides from refineries in Philadelphia, Marcus Hook, Pennsylvania., Toledo, Ohio, and Tulsa, Oklahoma, by about 78 percent.
