Power still out at Henry Hub, force majeure continues: Sabine

Washington (Platts)--28Sep2005
Sabine Pipeline's Henry Hub remains underwater due to flooding from
Hurricane Rita and the force majeure it declared last Thursday continues
"until further notice," the pipeline said Wednesday morning. The shut-down is
in effect at all points on the Sabine system.
"Sabine is briefing personnel and securing necessary resources to
facilitate additional reconnaissance," the company said in a statement. "Power
remains out in most areas of the system. Efforts are underway to remove
standing water from Sabine's Henry facilities so that the condition of
equipment can be further assessed."
Sabine reopened its Houston offices "for most business" Tuesday after
evacuating them ahead of Hurricane Rita. Henry Hub is the delivery point for
the New York Mercantile Exchanges natural gas futures contract.
