Solar
heating once again a tax saver
| One of the provisions
of the energy bill recently passed by Congress is a tax credit for solar
heating systems in homes. While not as generous as the solar tax credit
passed in the seventies, the new provision does give homeowners an
incentive to install what many believe is a much cleaner and much more
efficient heating system for their homes. The new federal tax credit is
good for 30 percent of the cost of the system, up to two thousand
dollars.
