CEZ (Prague, Czech Republic), power company, will decrease its production of electric power, which is produced by the mixed combustion of coal and biomass, by 25% in 2005 compared to 2004. The step is a reaction to the price ruling fixed by the Czech Energy Regulation Office, which decreased the purchasing prices of so called green power for 2005 compared to 2004. In 2004 a total of five power stations of CEZ will supply roughly 145 GWh of electric power produced by the mixed combustion of wood chips and coal to the network. Originally, CEZ was to increase the quantity by several dozens of percent in 2005.
