Seven states? AGs to sue five power companies over CO2

Attorneys general from seven states are expected to announce today that they
will sue five power companies owning more than 170 power plants nationwide and
demand substantial cuts in carbon dioxide emissions. A draft copy obtained by
Platts Coal Trader showed that attorneys general from Connecticut, California,
Iowa, New Jersey, New York, Vermont and Wisconsin  along with counsel from New
York City  were suing American Electric Power, Southern Company, Tennessee
Valley Authority, Xcel Energy and Cinergy.
