Anadarko says USG Marco Polo field begins production

New York (Platts)--19Jul2004

Anadarko Petroleum has begun production from three wells at its Marco Polo
field in the deepwater US Gulf of Mexico, the Houston-based independent
producer said Monday. The first two wells have produced a combined flow rate
of 15,300 boe/d and are continuing to ramp up, while a third well was placed
on production over the weekend, the company said. The remaining three wells
are scheduled to be on-line by early 2005. Marco Polo is on Green Canyon Block
608. Anadarko holds a 100% working interest. The company said it expects the
field to reach peak production of 50,000 boe/d once all six wells are on line.
The company did not break out the liquids-gas mix of the production from Marco
Polo.
