New York (Platts)--20Sep2004

Shell Oil on Monday said it was continuing to restore oil and natural gas
production in the Gulf of Mexico that was disrupted last week by Hurricane
Ivan. The major, in a statement, said its Brutus, South Timbalier 300/301,
Auger, and Enchilada/Salsa/Hickory platforms were at full production, while
the Mars, Ursa, West Delta 143, Mobile Bay and Bullwinkle facilities were in
the process of being brought back online. "Shell has been able to return
increasing numbers of essential production and drilling personnel to its
central and eastern operations areas over the weekend," the company said. "As
of Sunday, approximately 260 staff had been returned to the central area and
approximately 285 to the eastern area."
