Kuwait says terrorism not likely to affect Saudi oil supplies

Kuwaiti oil minister Sheikh Ahmed Fahed al-Sabah said Tuesday he did not
believe terrorist attacks in Saudi Arabia would have any impact on the
country's ability to maintain oil supplies. "I am not worried about the Saudi
oil facilities. Saudi Arabia has a good history of securing its oil industry
and facilities," the minister told reporters on arrival in Beirut ahead of
this week's OPEC meeting. His remarks followed a weekend attack against a
housing complex and two oil-related facilities in the Saudi city of Al-Khobar
which left 22 people dead. "None of this kind of terrorism has reached the oil
facilities," he said, adding: "I think we should be confident" about Saudi
Arabia's ability to maintain oil supplies. State oil company Saudi Aramco
issued a statement Sunday reassuring the market that none of its facilities
and personnel were
