"One of the places where we found corruption was the Oil Products Distribution Company. Today I will sign a decree to replace the management," "Corruption has lessened. I am not saying it has ended...After wide consultation, we have picked others who are known for their integrity."
- Iraqi oil minister Hussain al-Shahristani told a press conference in Baghdad Sunday. Shahristani said he has moved 10 corruption cases to the country's independent Anti-Corruption Commission for investigation.

"We have directed that Conoil should stop their activities in our area and they have stopped. Unless they dialogue with us, we will blow their platform. We are giving them till Tuesday to resolve all outstanding demands or we shall be left with no option than blow up their platform and all operations will cease."
The Sangana Kingdom of southern Bayelsa State said in a statement. The militants threatened to blow up the oil production facility of Conoil if it failed to implement a promise to provide more jobs and amenities for communities in the region.
