A rapid snow melt is sending especially large volumes of runoff into the Columbia River Basin.  The showcase facility, Grand Coulee Dam, recently averaged more than 4,000 MWHr of power generation, the highest in 5 years.  The most recent 30 days of generation are similar to June 1990 when output reached over 4,500 MWHr.  Later in June and July 1990 generation was still high and may indicate above average generation in April 2007.
