Electrical Mafia?

There are over 8 million of them in California alone. There are over 4 million in Texas. Nationwide there are 22 million of these devices called "smart meters," those surveillance monitors that the American people willingly or unwillingly let into their homes without realizing the full extent of what they are doing.

Smart meter technology, though touted as "cost-effective" and able to "maximize energy efficiency, leading many governments to mandate advanced metering" (smartgridnews.com), is about more than environmental concerns.

It's about control. And that's the caveat those in government don't want you to dwell upon. If it's not about control, then why have people been arrested in California for refusing to install smart meters? Why has voluntary compliance turned into compulsion and extortion?
