OWS Tea Party Contrast

In this day of "peaceful" protest by the Occupy Wall Street crowd, it's interesting to note the difference between this movement and the Tea Party movement, despite the media's insistence on favorably comparing the two, no matter how incongruous or void of fact that comparison may be.

Matt Kibbe, in an October 19, 2011 online article at Forbes.com, gives us the glaring differences between Occupy Wall Street protestors and Tea Party activists:

The Sept. 12, 2009 Tea Party demonstration in Washington, D.C., is a perfect example of the way Tea Partiers do business. Organizers planned for 100,000 Tea Party activists... but more than [1,000,000 people] turned out. In spite of the huge group of people, there was never an "angry mob" mentality. Protestors said "excuse me" and "thank you." No one was arrested and no property was damaged. No one told us to, but we picked up every bit of trash, even if it was not ours. In only a month of much smaller Occupy-related protests, hundreds of people have been arrested from New York City to San Diego and abroad, and in some cases protesters have resorted to physical violence. The property damage has been significant."
The cost in overtime to the citizens of New York City for a police presence during OWS protests is estimated at $3.4 million dollars. Nearly 1,000 arrests have been made in less than two months. Property damages are rising each and every day, and businesses are losing money, laying off workers, and some are shutting their doors.
When the Tea Party demonstrates, we get permits. We cooperate with police. We fund porta-potties. We respect the rule of law and are responsible for meeting our own needs including food, water, shelter, medical care, and bathrooms. The Occupy protestors just showed up and took over a busy part of Lower Manhattan, using local businesses' bathrooms as their own personal washrooms - or worse..."

What does that "or worse..." entail? MMM... How about urinating and defecating at bank entryways, in the parks, and on police cars? How about rapes and child abuse? How about arson, harassment, and shutting down ports of entry?

Ben Howe's article of November 3rd at RedState.com summarizes it very well:
So, it appears that all of our hopes have been dashed. From threatening to stab reporters in the neck, to blatant anti-[S]emitism, to very odd group chanting, Occupy Wall Street appears more and more to be devoid of the ideological passion I'd hoped they'd have, and leans more towards the childish, tantrum throwing, entitlement expecting rioters that we had become familiar with through the protests in Europe these last few years.
However, the drive by different organizations that OWS is a front for is not waning--their agenda now includes occupying Zuccotti Park through 2025. Far from losing steam, various organizations--from unions, to the Nazi Party, the Communist Party, ACORN under it's new name (New York Communities for Change), and Soros with his Media Matters funding--plan on increasing their level of protest until they are either stopped or they destroy the economic infrastructure of the United States. Each day that mayors in the "Occupy" cities refuse to enforce the law, is one day closer we find ourselves to anarchy and the breakdown of society.

This breakdown in the rule of law is not limited to the Occupy Wall Street movement. As the banksters continue their looting at the top of the social pyramid continues,  a massive national crime wave is under way on the streets of this country. Homeowners are being terrified more and more by  a dangerous criminal element breaking into their homes, fearing not just for their possessions, but for the lives of themselves and their families. And the old stand-by suggestions of "lock your doors," "display a security sticker," and "call 911" no longer cut it in the face of a new generation of thieves and looters that play by vicious new rules.

For example, the Supreme Court has stated in its 2005 ruling in Castle Rock v. Gonzales, that no police officer is legally obligated to defend you or protect you from anyone that threatens you. As society breaks down and criminals become more bold and more violent, the great question becomes...  how will you react? When the lawless looting and gang land attacks move into the suburbs right to your doorstep, what are your options? Will you do as one business owner did, stand at the entryway to your business  (or home) with a shotgun and meet force with force? What choices do you have when that thin veneer of civilization finally cracks and all the roaches pour out?

Your Home, Your Fortress: How to Make Any House Into Your Own Fort Knox, is the latest new book offering by Solutions From Science and it reveals everything you need to know to keep your home and family safe. Without a doubt, it's the most important new book we've written on the matter of total home security and protection. It covers every aspect of home security. In fact, it covers the most effective and sure way to defend yourself against ANY home invader or attacker, any time of day. Take the matter of door security, for instance. Your Home, Your Fortress goes far beyond the standard advice to reveal:
  • The part of your home where two out of three break-ins occur... and how to thwart them
  • Add more of this to your home and you'll practically repel criminals
  • The landscaping technique that actively discourages burglars
  • The invisible "shield" that makes it virtually impossible for thugs to kick your door in

Think carefully about this... crime continues to spread as a lawless entitlement mentality engulfs every state, every county and every city and town in America.  Most people think it will never happen to them. But think again. It's coming.  And your very life (and your loved ones) may depend on your ability to "protect your perimeter" and your home from the malicious maggots being bred  in the crockpot of social unrest and economic chaos. And, unlike other books on home protection, Your Home, Your Fortress , addresses the socio-political phases that are progressively threatening  you and your family. There are four new trends or "phases" in American crime, and Your Home, Your Fortress reveals each of them... and shows you, step by step, in no uncertain terms, how to prepare for each one. These phases are:

  • High crime waves in locations that are economically depressed
  • Communities where law enforcement has suffered cutbacks
  • Breakdowns in civil order, such as periods of rioting and looting
  • When the people who are supposed to protect you... turn on you

The simple fact is that we can't run away from trouble--we're going to have to meet it head on. We can't ignore  protesters and rioters when they come to our neighborhood, we can't ignore the criminal element, and we can't allow our governments, from the city to the federal, to ignore the law either. We all have the right to be secure and safe within our homes and our businesses. And as governments, national and local, abandon us to the criminal element, responsible people have to take action to protect all that they love. It's that simple.
